Hospice care was designed to alleviate symptoms and improve quality of life for persons facing a life-limiting illness. Hospice For All Seasons (HFAS) helps patients live the remainder of their lives as fully and as comfortably as possible. When curative treatments are no longer working and/or a patient no longer desires to continue them, hospice is an option.

HFAS has an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals and trained volunteers who maximize quality of life, control pain and manage symptoms. They assist patients and families with emotional, psychological, social and spiritual needs. HFAS looks at traditional medicine and a holistic approach for treatment through their Integrative Arts Program (IAP). The program consists of massage, reflexology, hypnotherapy, aromatherapy, acupuncture and Reiki. Massage relieves pain and stress and promotes relaxation. Reflexology is a therapy focused on the nervous system that addresses all areas of the body via the reflex channels in the foot, hands or ears. It helps with nausea/constipation and decreases stress and pain. Hypnotherapy uses the power of your own mind to teach you how to work with feelings of stress, worry, pain, trouble and sleeping. Aromatherapy uses the scent of essential oils to evoke feelings of peace, comfort and lightness, calms the mind and eases breathing. Acupuncture helps with pain, constipation, sleeplessness, stress, diarrhea, anxiety, dyspnea and confusion. Reiki and Therapeutic Touch are approaches to energy work and provide a deep sense of peace and comfort.
